Shuffle Prompt Tuesday: September 16, 2014

Notes caught in the breeze
swirling through the grass
covering the valleys between the mountaintops.
A spurting, active volcano on the coast
drops lava deep into the sea,
which hits the water,
and causes an eruption of steam
before melding and extending the edge of the Earth
a little more into the depths of the Ocean.
The Sun silently watches overhead,
casting heat and light to those active below.
Gentle rain mists the forest that sways in the wind.
